Fatigue testing involves quantifying life predictions for individual components and entire systems. SAE uses software systems such as Nastran to predict the stresses in complex parts. We also test to failure, determining both crack initiation and propagation. 

Recently, SAE helped a customer determine how many cycles a certain component could go through before it would need to be replaced. This information helps our customer safely maintain their system, while avoiding excess cost.
