Fatigue Testing:
Fatigue testing involves quantifying life predictions for individual components and entire systems. SAE uses software systems such as Nastran to predict the stresses in complex parts. Therefore, SAE engineers are experienced with FEA analysis (Finite Element Analysis). We also perform realiable test to failure tests to determine both crack initiation and propagation.
Recently, SAE helped a customer determine how many cycles a certain component could go through before it would need to be replaced. This information helps our customer safely maintain their system, while avoiding excess cost.
